In a press briefing on Wednesday, 7 May, Col Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh provided details of the strikes conducted by the Indian Armed Forces on several locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) under Operation Sindoor.
The operation was launched by the Indian Armed Forces in the early hours of Wednesday in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national.
While it targeted nine locations believed to be hideouts and training camps for terrorists, the Ministry of Defence maintained that the operation was "precise and non-escalatory, with no civilian infrastructure or lives harmed." Notably, no Pakistani military facilities were targeted.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh explained that the camps destroyed were part of a broader network built by Pakistan to train and indoctrinate militants.
"Over the last three decades, Pakistan has systematically built terror infrastructure. It is a complex web of recruitment and indoctrination centres, training areas for initial and refresher courses, and launchpads for handlers," she said.
Col Qureshi then went on to give the following details:
Sawai Nala, Muzaffarabad: About 30 kms from the POK LoC, used as a training centre for LeT. The terrorists who executed the 20 October 2024 attack in Sonmarg, the 24 October 2024 attack in Gulmarg, and the 22 April 2025 attack in Pahalgam were trained here.
