In Bihar, a man was beaten to death by two people, who had returned from Maharashtra with their families yesterday in Sitamarhi's Madhaul village. The deceased had informed coronavirus help center about their return which had allegedly angered families of the two people. Seven people have been arrested, reported ANI.
“Five fresh coronavirus cases (1-Mumbai, 2-Pune, and 2-Buldhana) in Maharashtra have emerged. Total number of positive cases in the state rises to 225,” Maharashtra Health Department said in a statement, according to ANI.
Narendra Bhooshan, the CEO of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has been appointed the Officer In-charge for Gautam Buddh Nagar for the efforts with regard to COVID-19 pandemic, reported ANI.

A woman infected with the coronavirus died at a hospital in West Bengal's Howrah district, taking the total number of COVID-19 deaths to three in the state, a health department official said on Tuesday.
The woman in her 40’s had recently visited north Bengal but had no foreign travel history, he said.

A 22-year-old man with foreign travel history has tested positive for coronavirus in Chhattisgarh's Korba district, taking the number of COVID-19 infection cases in the state to eight, officials said on Tuesday.
The man, who studies in London, returned to Korba town via Mumbai on 18 March and was placed in home isolation, reported PTI.
“Seven people, who were evacuated from Iran, have tested positive for coronavirus. The total number of positive cases in the state rises to 83,” said Rajasthan Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rohit Kumar Sing, according to ANI.
In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary to hold a meeting today over coronavirus, in the absence of chief minister Yogi Adityanath who is visiting Ghaziabad. He will also take report of the arrangements for the people staying at shelter homes.

Satyendar Jain, Delhi Health Minister said, “24 people who were present at the Markaz building, Nizamuddin have tested positive for coronavirus, so far,” reported ANI.
“We are not certain of the number but it is estimated that 1,500-1,700 people had assembled at Markaz building. 1,033 people have been evacuated so far — 334 of them have been sent to hospital and 700 sent to quarantine center,” he added.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday, 31 March, said 1,548 people have been evacuated from Nizamudddin Markaz in Delhi of which 441 were hospitalised after they showed coronavirus symptoms, PTI reported.
In a digital press conference, the chief minister said 1,107 people, who attended religious congregation in Nizamudddin West, have been quarantined.
He said that out of 97 cases of coronavirus in the city, 24 were those who took part in the congregation earlier this month.
