National Green Tribunal (NGT) slams Centre and Delhi government for not taking steps to tackle alarming air pollution level in national capital.
As the tribunal asks Central Pollution Control Board & Delhi Pollution Control Committee to take steps, the Delhi government tells NGT that the high air pollution is due to crop burning in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.
NGT has asked the Delhi government to stop 10-year-old diesel vehicles from plying on roads in the national capital. The next date for hearing on the matter is 8 November.
