Nepal PM Oli Presented Honorary Degree at GB Pant University
The Nepal PM is on a three-day visit to India.
Oli's Three-Day Visit Itinerary
Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be accorded a ceremonial reception on Saturday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan where he will call on President Ram Nath Kovind.
Delegation-level talks between Oli and Modi will be also held on Saturday. The talks will be followed by remote inauguration of development projects and press statements, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
During the visit, Oli will also call on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.
On the third day of his visit, the Nepalese premier will visit the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.
He will visit the Breeder Seed Production Centre and an integrated farming project there.
Oli will also be conferred with an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science at the university.
He will then leave for Kathmandu later in the evening from Delhi.

Nepal PM Oli Meets With PM Modi
Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of delegation-level talks tomorrow.
Modi also posted photographs of his meeting with Oli at the Prime Minister's official residence here.
Oli will hold delegation-level talks with Modi tomorrow to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
In the evening, Oli also addressed members of the Nepalese community at an event at Nepal's Embassy in Delhi.
Oli’s Vision for Nepal in Sync With ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’: Modi
Trying to reset the bilateral ties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepalese counterpart KP Sharma Oil held wide-ranging talks on Saturday, 7 April, and agreed to step up two-way engagement in key areas of defence and security, connectivity, trade and agriculture.
After the talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India will always stand by Nepal in its quest for all-round growth, asserting that deeper cooperation between the neighbours will strengthen democracy in Nepal.
On his part, Oli, seen as a leader who wants to develop a closer relationship with China, said his government wants to build a strong edifice of "trust-based" relationship with India.
In a press statement to media along with Oli, Modi said the Nepalese PM's vision for a "prosperous Nepal and developed Nepal" was in sync with his vision of sabka saath sabka vikas.
Modi also hailed successful conduct of national and provincial polls in Nepal and complimented its people for reposing their faith in the democracy.
Modi said both sides have agreed to expedite all connectivity projects, adding that an agreement has been made to lay a new railway line to link Kathmandi with India. The prime minister said both sides will enhance defence and security ties.
Oli also invited Modi to visit Nepal.
Modi said there has been a long history of India's contribution towards Nepal's development and that he has assured Oli that it will continue.
The Nepalese prime minister said his country needs support from its friends adding, "Relations among neighbours is different from other relations. This is based on mutual respect."

India's Interest Lies in Nepal's Stability, Growth: President Kovind
India is ready to expand cooperation as per "Nepal's priorities" and its interest lies in the neighbouring country's stability and economic growth, President Ram Nath Kovind said on Saturday, 7 April.
Welcoming Oli for a ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan, Kovind said he was happy to note that this was his first visit abroad after his appointment as the prime minister of Nepal.
Kovind expressed confidence that under Oli's leadership, Nepal would chart a new course of rapid socio-economic transformation for its people.
The president said India valued its economic and development partnership with Nepal.
"India stands ready to expand cooperation with Nepal as per Nepal's priorities. We believe that enhanced connectivity between our countries will boost our economic growth and benefit our citizens," he said.
He said no other countries in the world had the bonds of friendship and cooperation that existed between India and Nepal.

Venkaiah Naidu Meets Oli
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu met Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Oli on Saturday, 7 April, as part of the latter’s three-day visit to India.
Earlier, Oli held delegation-level talks with PM Modi and was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
