  • Two commander level naxals of People's Liberation Guerilla Army were killed in an encounter by Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) on Friday, 9 February.
  • The encounter reportedly happened at around 11 am during a search operation in the jungles of Lachantola in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon district, reported ANI.
  • The naxals were killed in a joint operation by the ITBP and the Madhya Pradesh's Hawk Force.
  • One naxal was carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh on his head, while the other had a reward of Rs 2 lakh on him.
