Nagaland Encounter: 3 NSCN(K) Cadres Killed, One Jawan Martyred

Three cadres of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN), one Assam Rifle (AR) and one civilian were killed in an encounter in Nagaland’s Mon district on Wednesday morning. Three other jawans have been injured in the operation.

Speaking to PTI, a defence spokesperson said:

AR personnel raided Lappa around 11 pm following information that NSCN(K) cadres were moving through that area and an encounter ensued

It is reported that around 12:30 am on Wednesday, an encounter took place between combined forces from ULFA, NSCN(K) and the paramilitary forces at Lapa Lempong near Tizit Circle in Mon district.

Over the course of the encounter, Major David Manlum was martyred and three other security personnel were injured.
