The Income Tax Department issued a final attachment order against Lalu Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti and her husband Shailesh Kumar on Monday.

Last week, the Enforcement Directorate attached a farmhouse owned by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief’s daughter in Delhi.

The farmhouse in south Delhi’s Bijwasan area was sealed in connection with a benami property case, in which Misa and her husband Shailesh are the key accused. The other attachments are a house in Delhi’s Defence Colony and another property in Patna.

The couple is being probed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
