Minister VK Singh’s Wife Files FIR Alleging Extortion Attempt

The accused man has been harassing her with phone calls, warning her that he will ruin her husband’s reputation.

Union Minister VK Singh’s wife has lodged an FIR against a Delhi man, accusing him of extortion and blackmail. Allegedly, he was trying to blackmail her with ‘doctored audio and video recordings’.

Pradeep Chauhan, the accused, was known to her family (a friend of her nephew) and allegedly recorded their conversation on August 6 and then threatened to post it on social media unless he was paid Rs 2 crore.

Mrs Singh claimed that Mr Chauhan threatened to publish doctored audio and video recordings of her. She has also claimed that she is not sure of the content of the clips, but Mr Chauhan has been harassing her with phone calls, warning her that he will ruin her husband’s reputation.

One Pradeep Chauhan who was known to me as he was a friend of my nephew, has been threatening me with dire consequences, saying that If I fail to pay him Rs 2 crores, he will make public some audio and video clips, the contents of which are not known to me.

Allegedly, Chauhan posted a video on YouTube on 6 August, levelling allegations against VK Singh.
