Maruti Temporarily Ceases Production Due to Fire at Manesar Plant

Maruti Suzuki temporarily suspends production due to a fire at the Manesar factory of component supplier, Subros.

• Maruti in a statement on 30 May said that it is temporarily suspending production at its facilities in Maneswar and Gurgaon, after a fire broke out at the factory of its component supplier, Subros Ltd.
  
• Subros Ltd. supplies air-conditioning equipment to Maruti, and it joined hands with the company in assessing the extent of the damage caused.
  
• The fire at Manesar broke out on 29 May and took around 3 hours to douse completely, with no casualties being reported.
