A 31-year-old man named Mohammad Khalid, was arrested on Tuesday for harassing more than 1,500 women by sending them porn videos, vulgar photos, incriminating text messages and dirty jokes, The Hindustan Times reported.

A school dropout, Khalid had a collection of over 2,000 phone numbers of women.

Khalid told the police he would only message the “pretty women” after seeing their photos on WhatsApp. He said it was only harmless flirting and would give him a kick.

He procured three sim cards under fake identities with which he would message the women. Some of the women he chatted with, also jeopardised their marriages as their husbands suspected them of having affairs with Khalid.

A hunt was launched by the police when a woman approached them on 30 May with a complaint that a man was harassing her for a month and threatened to kill her after she warned him.

The source of his aggression was found to be his short height which, for which he was ridiculed by women. He refused to meet the few women who wished to meet him. His sole aim was to annoy the women till they blocked his number.

If a woman would warn him about police action, Khalid would threaten to morph their photos obscenely and upload them to various sites.
