In a disturbing incident that has come to light, a man and two of his female cousins, including a minor, were tied to a tree and beaten for hours in Arjun Colony in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district. The man had allegedly eloped with a married woman.

A video of the incident shows hundreds of bystanders did not do anything to help as a group of men and women kept thrashing the man and his cousins. The video also shows the man being beaten up asking for help.

One man, identified as Mukesh, the husband of the woman who eloped and the prime accused, can be heard asking ,"Who made the girl run away with him?"

Since one of the victims was a minor, a case under the POCSO act has been registered.

The CSP of the area, Sanjay Muwel informed the press that five people had been arrested which included three women. He added, "We hope to arrest the four absconders soon."

According to Muwel, the husband had filed a missing person's complaint at the police station before finding out the man who had run away with his wife.
