Caught on Camera: Teacher Gets Back Massage by a Student in MP
The circumstances of the incident – whether the student was coerced or not – is not yet clear.

A teacher in a government school in Madhya Pradesh’s Damoh was caught on camera getting his back massaged by a student. In the video, the teacher is lying face down on the floor, and the student is standing on his back, massaging it with his feet.
School Education Minister Deepak Joshi said the government has asked the District Education Officer to submit a report on the incident. Joshi said the teacher will be suspended once the authorities receive a complete report.
The circumstances of the incident – whether the student was coerced or not – is not yet clear.
The shocking video emerges in light of other appalling incidents of school teachers and staff engaging in misconduct with students, sexual or otherwise.
Earlier in December, two cases of sexual violence emerged from two high-profile schools in Kolkata. In GD Birla School, two physical education teachers were arrested for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl.
In another case, a 57-year-old French national, who is the trustee of a renowned school in suburban Mumbai’s Andheri, was arrested five months after he allegedly sexually assaulted a three-year-old girl inside the school.
In light of many such cases, there is growing concern about the safety of students in schools, and the accountability of authorities.
