Priyanka Chopra, PM Modi Among LinkedIn Power Profiles 2018

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Biocon Chief Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw are among the 'most viewed professionals' who have made it to LinkedIn's list of India's Power Profile for the year 2018.

This LinkedIn list is a collation of the 'most viewed professionals' in India across eight categories, including Technology, CEOs, Finance, LinkedIn Influencers, Internet, Human Resources, Marketing and Advertising.

According to Srividya Gopani, Director, Brand and Consumer Marketing, Asia-Pacific and China, this list is "a celebration of the most viewed professionals in India."

LinkedIn Power Profiles 2018 is a celebration of the most viewed professionals in India, those who are great examples of strong professional brands that inspire our 50+ million members across the country. These Power Profiles have not only had exciting journeys, but they participate in meaningful dialogue, offer perspectives, and continue to engage all our members, including young career starters. Success means different things to different people and we hope these inspiring professional journeys help others find theirs.

And how were these profiles selected? LinkedIn used member data to compute profile views from 2017 to 18 and also applied filters to gather engagement levels. LinkedIn, however, excluded its old employees from the list.

Other power profiles include CEO & Co-Founder at Flipkart Binny Bansal, H&M India Country Manager Janne Einola in the CEOs category; Co-Founder and CEO at Nearbuy.com Ankur Warikoo and Founder of Paytm Vijay Shekar Sharma in the Internet category; and Founder & CEO of YourStory Media Shradha Sharma and CEO and Co-Founder of Snap Deal Kunal Bahl in the LinkedIn Influencers category.

Women leaders including Nasscom president Debjani Ghosh (technology), Godrej Consumer Products chairperson Nisaba Godrej, and Little Black Book CEO and founder Suchita Salwan (Internet) are also some of the new entrants to this year's edition, reported PTI.
