A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) district commander, Ayub Lelhari, was gunned down in an encounter on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama.

State Police Chief, SP Vaid, confirmed the killing on Twitter.

Lelhari was killed in a brief gunfight that erupted after forces challenged the militants in Banderpora area of Koil.
