Data recorded close to 1,800 extreme rainfall events this monsoon, more than half of which were in August, underlining the expanding impact of climate change in the June-September monsoon, which accounts for 70% of India’s annual rainfall.

“Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Hindi agenda push despite nationwide protest needs to be seen as Sangh Parivar’s signs to launch a new battlefield in the name of language. Even as Yemen’s Houthi rebels have also claimed responsibility for the audacious attacks, traders worldwide are speculating if oil prices will cross the $100-mark yet again.
