US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, 19 September said he agreed with his visiting Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda that Russian actions in the region pose a threat to peace and stability.
"I think it's a very aggressive situation. I think Russia has acted aggressively. They respect force. They respect strength, as anyone does. And we have the greatest strength in the world," he said.
Trump was talking to reporters at a joint news conference with Duda at the White House.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in said two Koreas agreed to "eliminate all the danger of war from the Korean Peninsula", AP reported. He also said that North agreed to dismantle missile engine test site, launch pad and allow inspections.
North Korea also agreed to permanently dismantle its main nuclear complex if US takes corresponding measures.
A student of Class IX of a government school in Panchkula was arrested for allegedly getting his schoolmate of Class XII stabbed to death with the help of some youths, ANI reported. The incident took place in front of the school on 17 September.
Another Class X student was also injured in an attempt to save the deceased student.
Final year student of Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Hyderabad allegedly committed suicide on the night of 17 September at his residence in Madannapet police station area, ANI reported.

The rupee on Wednesday rebounded from its all-time low by rising 28 paise to 72.70 against the US dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on fresh selling of the US currency by exporters and banks, PTI reported.

A seven-year-old girl was raped and thrashed by her neighbour in a wedding ceremony in Delhi, The Times of India reported.
The 22-year-old accused, lured the minor from the wedding to a nearby park on the pretext of giving her a gift. He also tried inserting a rod inside her private parts. The survivor has undergone surgery and is now stable.

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved an ordinance making triple talaq a punishable offence after the government failed to pass it through both houses of the Parliament, News18 reported.

A teen-aged girl was allegedly raped by a 24-year-old man when she went to offer prayers at a pandal during the ongoing Ganesh festival in Maharashtra’s Dahanu, PTI reported.
The incident occurred Monday night when the 13-year- old girl along with other children had gone to the Ganesh pandal set up at Agar village in Dahanu area, Palghar police spokesperson Hemant Kumar Katkar said.
The accused, a pandal contractor, lured the girl on some pretext, took her behind the venue and allegedly raped her there and fled, he said.

Malaysia's anti-graft agency said former Prime Minister Najib Razak was arrested on Wednesday and will face further charges of abuse of power over the multimillion-dollar looting of a state investment fund.
The agency said in a statement that Najib was detained at its office over the transfer of 2.6 billion ringgit ($627.8 million) into his bank account. It said Najib will be taken to court on Thursday to face several charges under Section 23 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act.
It didn't give details, but the section deals with the abuse of power.

A woman campaigning for a separate Purvanchal state set a bus on fire in Varanasi on Wednesday, 19 September, after she was allegedly stopped from meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to the city, reported PTI quoting the police.
Vandana Raghuvanshi, secretary of the Poorvanchal Jan Andolan Samiti boarded a state-run Volvo bus that ran between the city and Lucknow. She then asked two-three passengers present inside the luxury bus to deboard, following which she sprinkled petrol inside and torched it, Superintendent of police Dinesh Kumar Singh said.
Fire tenders were called in to douse the flames, but the bus was partially burnt. The accused has been arrested.

A shooter opened fire inside a Wisconsin software company on Wednesday, wounding three people before responding officers fatally shot the assailant as workers ran from the office building or hid inside, AP reported quoting police and witnesses.
Middleton Police Chief Chuck Foulke said officers were alerted to an active-shooter situation at WTS Paradigm around 10:25 a.m. Foulke said the suspect was taken to a hospital after being shot by officers but later died. He said there were no other suspects in the attack, according to AP.
