Investigation Into IndiGo Aircraft Which Made Emergency Landing in Kolkata
An IndiGo aircraft, which made an emergency landing at the Kolkata airport after smoke filled its cabin mid-air, has been grounded, airline officials said Wednesday.
Officials of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), India, have already reached Kolkata to carry out a detailed investigation and prepare a report on what happened on Monday, a DGCA official told PTI.

“There's an issue that no space has been left around the building&there is dense population around it. It can't be demolished using JCB or other big machines. It'll have to be done manually, it'll take time and we'll begin this tomorrow.” the commissioner added.

He was produced before the special CBI court of A K Mishra, which sent him to judicial custody till 15 December.
An anti-corruption division team of the CBI arrested the former minister from his residence at Banhora in Ranchi district, the official said.

India to Launch GSAT 7 Satellite for Indian Air Force
India will be launching GSAT 7A, a military communication satellite for the Indian Air Force (IAF), on 19 December with its Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV Mk II) rocket, said Indian space agency.
According to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), its GSLV rocket will launch the 2,250-kg communication satellite, GSAT-7A from the second launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota.
Earlier, ISRO had sent up GSAT 7 or Rukmini, a communication satellite, for use by the Indian Navy.

"Pakistan rejects the US State Department's unilateral and politically motivated pronouncement released in the context of its annual religious freedom report," the Foreign Office said in a statement.
