The much-awaited metro rail connectivity to Hi Tec City has happened with Governor E S L Narasimhan flagging off the services from the Ameerpet Interchange station at 9.30 am amidst a galaxy of top metro rail, municipal and police officials on Wednesday.
The commercial operations for the general public begins from 4 pm onwards and initially at a frequency of 9-12 minutes from Ameerpet to HiTec City. Last train will be at 10.30 pm from Hi Tec City.

In a tragic incident, a 10-month-old girl, died when a 70-ft high under-construction wall collapsed on her in her house. The incident happened at Hakimpet on Wednesday morning. The builder and owner of the house have been booked for death due to negligence.
The baby identified as Mahin Qureshi, daughter of Khasim Qureshi, slaughterhouse owner, was asleep in the house when the wall collapsed on her.

A gold medallist in post-graduation, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, has been a burglar for the last 13 years and was finally arrested by the Cyberabad central crime station police on Wednesday. The police seized 800 gm gold, Rs 1.5 lakh cash from the accused M Vamshi Krishna and remanded him to judicial custody.
The accused identified as MikkilIi Vamshi Krishna, 39, a native of Vetapalem village in Prakasham district of AP, finished his post graduation in 2004. He was the topper of his batch in MBA and received a gold medal from Thangavelu University at Chennai.

A multi-national company located in Hyderabad has fallen prey to cyber crooks who, by sharing details of their “new” bank account via a spoof email id of the company’s client from West Africa, siphoned off Rs 8 crore from the company. According to sources, the company, which has multiple branches across the globe, also has a branch in Madhapur. They are into the import and export of tools and do business with an Africa-based client. Recently, the city-based company was about to finalise a deal worth Rs 8 crore to purchase the material.
The source explained, “The cyber crooks, who had hacked the e-mail of the company’s client in Africa, accessed the e-mail conversations and learned about the deal that was supposed to be closed soon. The fraudsters created a spoof e-mail id, similar to that of the African company, and sent an e-mail to the Madhapur company asking them to transfer the money into their new bank account.”

The Telangana High Court adjourned the petitions filed by Mr D Ashok, director of IT Grids, to next Wednesday for further hearing.
Justice Shameem Akther on Wednesday was dealing with the two petitions by Mr Ashok urging the court to quash the FIRs filed by the Telangana Police or transfer the cases which were lodged against him to the appropriate authority of AP state, as the allegations were data breach of AP voters.
