Korean Woman Molested, Beaten up in Gurugram; Police Arrest Four
The police have arrested four men in connection with molesting and beating up a Korean woman in Manesar, Gurugram.
The Gurugram Police have arrested four men in connection with molesting and beating a Korean woman on Saturday, 10 February, in Manesar, Gurugram reports ANI. The woman was accompanied by a friend, who was alleged beaten up by the accused as well.
According to Aaj Tak, the accused are residents of Gurugram and have been named as Sandeep, Vinod, Jitendra and Rakesh.
The report says the woman had visited Jaipur with her friend on Saturday and was returning to Delhi, when they were intercepted by the group of men, harassed, molested and then beaten up.
The victims reportedly managed to break free, following which they reached the Manesar police station and lodged a complaint. According to the Aaj Tak report, the police started their investigations on Saturday night itself and by Sunday morning, had nabbed all four of the accused.
According to the report, the accused will be presented in front of the court soon.
In a similar incident, a group of French tourists had been beaten up and molested in the Ahraura area of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh by a group of locals in December. Then too, the Uttar Pradesh police had arrested the four locals in connection with the incident.
