Chennai-born rapper Sofia Ashraf has a message for Paul Polman, the CEO of Unilever, ‘Kodaikanal won’t step down until you make amends now’!

Set to Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda,” the rap informs viewers of Unilever’s thermometer company which exposed workers and the environment to mercury poisoning.

Jhatkaa, a campaigning organisation says, “this has not been cleaned up in the 14 years since this plant was shut down. The contamination continues to impact forests and groundwater.”

This song asks Unilever to take responsibility for its mercury-related liabilities. Unilever and Paul Polman have been ignoring the workers for the past 14 years.

Perhaps this rapstar will get the message to them.
