In the latest in the series of unending political violence that has claimed many lives in Kerala, a 20-year old BJP worker Nirmal was hacked to death late Sunday night in Mukkattukara of Thrissur district.

Reports say that he was stabbed to death after a tussle during celebrations at a temple in the area.

The BJP state unit has alleged that the ruling CPM was behind the act and has called for a strike in Thrissur district.

CNN News18 reported that police suspect personal rivalry behind the attack and the investigation is going on.
