Problem of Targeting Kashmiri Students After Pulwama Is Kaafi Real

Kashmiri students have alleged that many of them were asked to vacate their houses by their landlords.

After the Pulwama terror attack which claimed the lives of at least 40 CRPF personnel on Thursday, 14 February, protests against Kashmiri students have gripped parts of country.

The attack was claimed by the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

According to The Indian Express, principal of Baba Farid Institute of Techonology wrote that no new Kashmiri student will be admitted in the upcoming session. Another university Alpine College of Management and Technology, wrote a similar letter with same conditions.

‘Anti-Kashmir’ protests can be witnessed on social media and on the ground in Dehradun, Ambala, Jaipur among a few other places.

Some Kashmiri youths studying in the Uttarakhand capital, Dehradun, alleged that they were harassed and have been asked by their landlords to vacate accommodations fearing attacks on their properties in the aftermath of the Pulwama blast.

Four army men, including a Major, were killed in an encounter in the Pinglan area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Monday, 18 February.
