The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results of the Class 10 exams were announced earlier today and the girls have done it again.

97.82 percent girls have cleared their exams, while the boys lag behind at 96.98 percent, said officials.

It came as no surprise, but the CBSE website temporarily crashed earlier in the day, which the officials said was due to the heavy traffic on the site. Duh!

94,474 students scored 10 CGPA (cumulative grade points average) out of these 49,392 were boys, and 45,082 were girls. In Delhi, 8,026 students scored 10 CGPA. Not bad we say!

Prime Minister Modi congratulated the students who have cleared the exam via Twitter.

But this year there was a drop in the overall pass percentage of 97.32 this year, in comparison to the 98.87 in 2014.

Thiruvananthapuram bagged the highest pass percentage in the country with 99.77 per cent students making the cut successfully. Wow!

The total number of students who took the exam was 13,73,853 which was an increase of 3.37 per cent over the 2014 figure.
