“Shubham was shot in the head after being asked his name. We request the government to clear the procedures as soon as possible, and just send us what is left of our brother. If he has died, we just want his remains," said Sourabh, a cousin of Shubham Dwivedi (31) who was one of the victims of the Jammu and Kashmir terror attack on 22 April.
Just two months ago on 12 February, Shubham had begun a new chapter of his life when he married Aishanya.
In a targeted attack on non-Muslim tourists, at least 28 people were killed and several others were injred after heavily armed militants emerged from the surrounding forests and opened fire on a group of tourists gathered near the meadow in Pahalgam, officials said.
Shubham Dwivedi had married just two months before the attack that claimed his life.

A resident of Mehrajpur area in Kanpur, Shubham helped run the family business of cemet trading.
On 22 April, Shubham and Aishanya decided to go pony-riding while the other family members, including Shubham's parents, stayed behind. However, the terror attack unfolded after they reached the spot and he was shot in the head.
Aishanya then called her father-in-law Sanjay Dwivedi to tell him about the attack. He was rushed to the hospital by the security forces later.
Shubham Dwivedi was killed in the terrorist attack in J&K's Pahalgam.

Tuesday’s shooting now marks the deadliest strike on civilians in the valley in recent years.
Reacting to the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: “I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected. Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice...they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger.”
