Janata Dal (United) MP KC Tyagi demanded action against yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s pharma company Patanjali for selling products without the Indian food regulator’s approval.

Tyagi raised the question during Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday and alleged that Patanjali noodles and pasta are being sold without the approval of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

He (Baba Ramdev) poses as if he is very close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He openly claims that he has helped with ‘tan, man and dhan’ (physically, mentally and monetarily) in formation of the BJP government.

The Uttrakhand government, said Tyagi, had found an Ayurvedic ‘son-bearing’ medicine sold by Baba Ramdev’s pharma company fake, but no action was taken.

In November, FSSAI officials had themselves said that Patanjali Atta Noodles had not obtained all necessary approvals.
