Harjot Singh, Indian Student Shot at in Kyiv, Reaches Delhi Safely in IAF Flight
The news of Chandhok being shot came after two students of Indian nationality died in Ukraine.

Harjot Singh, an Indian national who sustained multiple bullet injuries in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, has landed in Delhi in an Indian Air Force flight, officials said on Monday, 7 March, reports news agency PTI.
He has been shifted to Army's RR Hospital, Delhi for treatment, Union Minister General (Retd) VK Singh tweeted.
Earlier in the day, he had entered Poland, after which he was escorted to Indian Air Force's special aircraft, which will bring him and other Indians back to India from Poland.
General VK Singh after returning from Poland announced that Harjot Singh's condition is stable.
Earlier on Monday morning, Gen Singh had shared a video saying, "One of the passengers on the IAF C-17 today will be Harjot Singh. Let me assure the country that he is in good hands. The worst is behind him. I look forward to seeing him reunited with his family. Hope he recuperates well and fast."
This comes a day after VK Singh said in a tweet, "Harjot Singh, an Indian national who sustained bullet injuries in Kyiv and lost his passport, will return to India with us tomorrow.”

Addressing a briefing on Friday evening, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that the government of India will be bearing expenses for Singh's medical treatment in Kyiv.
'I Kept Calling Officials, No One Contacted Me': Harjot Singh
Harjot Singh, who hails from Delhi's Chhattarpur, had told NDTV in an interview that he had been travelling with his friends in a cab towards the border for evacuation when he was shot.
Speaking from the Kyiv City Hospital, he had said that the bullet had entered his shoulder and that his leg was fractured.
"I kept calling officials. I wanted some facility to take me to Lviv. But no one has contacted me," he had told NDTV, adding that the Indian embassy had not responded to him.
Previously, 21-year-old Shekharappa Gyanagoudar lost his life in a bomb attack in Kharkiv on Tuesday. He was a fourth-year student of forensic science at Kharkiv National Medical University. Another Indian student in Ukraine, Chandan Jindal, succumbed to a stroke, the Ministry of External Affairs had last Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Indian students stranded at a medical college hostel in Ukraine’s Sumy, were told to "be ready to leave on short notice" by the Indian Embassy late on Sunday night, 6 March.
