Indian Railways Hold FB Poll for Picking New Staff Uniforms

Indian Railways seems on track to becoming tech savvy after carrying out a bunch of social media initiatives recently. On Wednesday, it conducted a nationwide poll on Facebook to select new uniforms for its staff. FB users were given a host of options to choose from along with the respective hashtags for ease of selection.
Uniforms for Railways personnel like station managers, housekeeping staff, chief catering in-charges, waiters, porters and locomotive drivers were among those in the list.
The uniforms have been designed by well-known fashion designer Ritu Beri. The theme being ‘the vibrant soul of India’, the color palette draws upon elements of culture, business, music and entertainment.
