Boxer Vijender Singh condemned the attack in Uri through a strongly worded message. He conveyed his condolences to the families of the 17 soldiers martyred in the attack, then went on the offensive.

Cricketer Virender Sehwag too took to Twitter to condemn the attack.

Seventeen soldiers were killed in a terror attack on an army base in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir. The weapons recovered from the four terrorists slain had Pakistani markings on them. For live updates read.
