Heaping sarcasm on the current government, Gangwar lauded Nehru for appreciating and working with renowned scientists like Vikram Sarabhai and Homi J Bhabha instead of “intellectuals like Baba Ramdev and Asharam Bapu” and for setting up IITs, IRSO and BARC, instead of gaushalas (cow shed) and temples.

According to The Indian Express, Gangwar also said that Nehru had prevented India “from becoming a Hindu Taliban”.

General Administration minister, Lal Singh Arya said the collectors should not make political comments over social media and instructed the chief secretary to take action under civil service conduct against Gangwar, The Pioneer reported.
