Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt General Ranbir Singh on Thursday announced that the Indian Army had carried out multiple surgical operations in various locations in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday night.

Immediately reacting to the news, Pakistan denied on Twitter the surgical strikes saying that that India was describing ongoing “cross-border fire” as surgical operations in an effort to “create false effects" and "media hype”.

Pakistani citizens also took to social media to condemn the strikes.
