Hardly a week after a firing incident in Gurugram left one dead and another critically injured, another case of shooting emerged on Tuesday, 16 October from Om Sweets in Sector-46, where two unidentified miscreants resorted to aerial firing at the busy shop, reported ANI.

Two masked men open fired several rounds in the restaurant, which resulted in panic and chaos with employees and patrons running for cover. The men, who entered the restaurant casually and ultimately opened fire, are yet to be identified.

According to The Tribune, one among the gun-toting duo was injured after a glass shattered during the shootout.

According to the police, the two had landed at Om sweets in a bid to rob the cashier.

“The duo entered the restaurant casually before pulling out a gun and firing in air. Prima facie it appears that they did not intend to kill but only scare and rob. We are investigating the matter and details will be out soon,” Subhash Bokan, PRO of Gurugram police told The Tribune.

The police has announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for any information on the miscreants who fled the shop after firing.
