The founder of Facebook page Voice of Ram, which had posted a video promoting India-Pakistan peace featuring Gurmehar Kaur in 2016, has now put out a video in support of the Delhi student and anti-ABVP campaigner.

The video, posted by Voice of Ram founder Ram Subramaian, is captioned, “You are not alone Gurmehar Kaur. I got your back.”

Gurmehar has been trolled and received rape threats over her recent Facebook campaign against ABVP. She has also been attacked over the September 2016 video that was posted on Voice of Ram. It shows her holding a placard reading “Pakistan did not kill my father, war did.”

“Yesterday Gurmehar called me and she was very uncomfortable with the events unfolding here in Delhi,” says Ram, who was supposed to be in Goa but came down to Delhi to see Gurmehar.

What she was trying to do was to make colleges in Delhi a safer place for women to protest, have a voice, and dissent without the fear of rape threats.

Ram says he believes in doing work that “will bring a positive difference to our society.” The video propagating India-Pakistan peace that Subrammaian and Gurmehar had worked on together resurfaced recently after her anti-ABVP campaign went viral.
