Six Dead as Five Storey Building Collapses in Crowded Mumbai Slum

Authorities have rushed fire fighters and ambulances to the spot.

A five-storey building collapsed in suburban Bandra on Thursday afternoon, killing six people. Around six to seven people were feared trapped inside, fire brigade sources said.

The building is located on Anant Kanekar Marg, Behrampada, near National School in Bandra East.

First floor to fourth floor portion of the building collapsed, thereby trapping the people as learnt from people around, fire brigade sources said.

Efforts were underway to clear the rubble, they said.

The Natural Disaster Response Force was deployed to the spot after the collapse.
