Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, 5 June, extended Eid greetings and wished for peace in the society.

PM Modi took to Twitter and said, “May this special day ignite the spirit of harmony, compassion and peace in our society. May everyone be blessed with happiness.”

Home Minister Amit Shah also wished people on the occasion of Eid and wrote, “Extend my warm greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. May this festival bring peace, joy and happiness in everyone's life.”

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also took to Twitter wish all the people celebrating Eid across the world.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Samjawadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav also took to Twitter to wish people.
