The Centre for Accountability & Systemic Change on Saturday, 9 February, sent a notice to the Election Commission of India (ECI) demanding that they form certain rules for WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media companies ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, reported ANI.

The notice demands enforcement of election law on social media companies.

The legal notice also states that if the ECI does not act, the matter will be taken to Court, according to the report.
