A 31-year-old woman from Uzbekistan was allegedly gangraped and beaten in a car by three men in New Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area on Saturday.

According to India Today, the police has arrested two men, one of whom is a resident of Gurugram and was known to the survivor.

The accused who was known to her picked her up from Vasant Kunj. There were reportedly two more men in the car with him. They allegedly took turns to rape her and hit her when she resisted.

They dumped her near her house where her friends later found her. She was taken to AIIMS for a medical examination.

The survivor met one of the accused through Facebook seven months ago.

The woman had come to India two months ago and was living with her friends in Madangiri.

“Her friend [one of the accused] called her to meet on Saturday near a mall in Vasant Kunj. He picked her from Vasant Kunj, took her to Gurugram in his car in which two of his friends were already sitting. ”
