The CPI(M) cancelled all public programmes scheduled for Monday. Funeral will be held after post-mortem on Tuesday.

  • In gruesome news, a CPM worker, Mohanan K was hacked to death by unknown assailants in the middle of the day in Kannur. Another CPM worker sustained injuries in the attack, reports The Times of India.
  • Report suggests that the victims were attacked by masked men, making it difficult for the police to ascertain their identity, however, the CPM has alleged that the RSS was behind the attack and called for a bandh in Kannur on Tuesday.
  • The postmortem of Mohanan K, who was attacked by a 6 member gang in the morning, will be carried out by the local authorities on Tuesday.
