CoBRA Commando Succumbs to Injuries After Naxal Encounter

  • A CoBRA commando, who was critically injured in an encounter with the Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district last week, died at a private hospital, in Raipur, on Wednesday.

  • Head Constable Uday Narayan Goud (41), belonging to CRPF’s specialised unit Commando Battalion for Resolute Action’s (CoBRA) 206th battalion had sustained bullet injuries in his stomach during a gun-battle with ultras on 16 September.

  • The wreath-laying ceremony of the jawan will be held at the police battalion camp at Mana in the outskirts of the capital at 4pm, an official said.
