1 Dead, 5 Injured in CNG Car Blast Near Gurgaon Firecracker Godown

A person was killed and five more were injured when a CNG-fitted car exploded near a firecracker warehouse at Kadipur Industrial Area in Gurugram on Sunday, 14 April.

A fire broke out in the warehouse after the explosion, which was later brought under control. The police said that they are investigating the incident, NDTV reported. According to a Times of India report, four fire tenders were rushed to douse the fire.

According to the police, a CNG-fitted Maruti Eeco was parked near the godown and people were having dinner inside the car when an explosion took place.

The Kadipur industrial area is home to several firecracker godowns. A Gurugram police spokesperson said that the people inside the car might have light up cigarettes which could have caused the fire. A case has been registered in the Sector 10 police station.
