Chandrakant Patil Made Maha BJP Chief as Raosaheb Danve Resigns

Senior leader Chandrakant Patil has been appointed president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra, replacing incumbent chief Raosaheb Dadarao Danve.

Danve has reportedly resigned from his post ahead of Maharashtra’s assembly polls, which are scheduled for October 2019.

BJP’s letter which mentions the new appointments.

The BJP has also appointed Mangal Prabhat Lodha, founder of the real estate developer Lodha Group, as the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Mumbai. He will be replacing current unit head Asish Shelar.
