Monday was just another day for Bengaluru till the Supreme Court order to release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu came through, and set the city on fire.

People were stranded in offices, schools, hospitals: wherever they were. Offices asked employees to leave- and as people prepared to leave, they realised there was no public transport to take them home. Tamil businesses and vehicles were the target.

This is not the Bengaluru the world ought to see, given that Bengaluru is a city that is known for its truly cosmopolitan culture.
