BJP MLA Narendra Kushwaha’s Cousin Shot Dead in Madhya Pradesh

A cousin of local BJP MLA Narendra Singh Kushwaha was shot dead, on late Friday night, allegedly by unidentified assailants, a senior police official said.

Lalji Singh Kushwaha (50) was shot dead when he was walking near the government Jiwajirao Scindia College in the town, Superintendent of Police, Bhind, Navneet Bhasin said.

He said the assailants fired shots from a close range which hit Kushawaha on his head and chest following which he died on the spot.

The attackers fled from the spot after the incident by brandishing their weapons, the SP said, adding a case has been registered and investigations were on.

Meanwhile, enraged over the incident, supporters of the MLA staged a road-blockade on National Highway 92, disrupting the traffic.
