BJP Leader Suraj Pal Slams Haryana CM for ‘Snubbing’ Karni Sena

BJP leader Suraj Pal Singh Amu slammed the Haryana CM for agreeing to meet the Karni Sena and then not showing up.

Amid the Padmavati controversy, the latest person to face the wrath of certain BJP leaders and the Karni Sena is Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Haryana BJP leader Suraj Pal Singh Amu is reportedly upset with Khattar after he allegedly missed a meeting with the Rajput Karni Sena after making an appointment with them. Suraj Pal Singh Amu told ANI:

Haryana CM gave appointment to Rajput Karni Sena members and left without meeting them. Why didn’t he meet people who had come to meet him from Rajasthan? If you want to oust us from party, go ahead but don’t insult us.

Suraj Pal recently made headlines for offering a Rs 10-crore bounty to anyone who would behead 'Padmavati’s’ lead actress Deepika Padukone, and for lashing out at West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for allowing the controversial film to be released in her state.

Suraj Pal’s violent rhetoric has drawn criticism from all quarters including his party, the BJP, which has issued a show cause notice to the leader asking him to explain his statements.

Moreover, BJP National Secretary Anil Jain has stated that the party condemns such threats, even though it is not in support of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.
