India had never seen a self-motivated SC/ST movement of such a magnitude. It surprised everyone because no other movement in the last decade could leave such a significant mark.

Thousands of groups on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Twitter remained active through the movement. Posters and promotional material were sent through these mediums. People shared information about police action, etc, during the bandh call, and also recorded live videos, which accelerate the movement.
