Author Amish Tripathi has postponed the launch of his new book, Suheldev & The Battle Of Bahraich, which was slated for release on 16 July. Tripathi, who authored the acclaimed Shiva Trilogy, took to Twitter to make the announcement on 18 June.

Speaking to The Quint, a member of Amish's team said:

He has already put out a message on social media. There were some unforeseen things that they couldn’t tackle. Some changes were also happening. It is more like a back end thing on the publishing front.

The book’s cover was earlier launched by actor Varun Dhawan.

Varun Dhawan launches Amish Tripathi’s (extreme right) latest book, Suheldev & The Battle of Bahraich.

At the time of the cover launch, Tripathi had said that the book was to be based on Raja Suheldev, a semi-legendary Indian king from Shravasti in Uttar Pradesh, and “an unforgettable battle fought in 1025 AD that drove the Turks away for 170 years.”

The book was to be the first part of new series by the author called Indic Chronicles, for which he was supposed to work with different authors as a part of a “Writer’s Centre”. At the time of the cover launch of Suheldev, the author had said that he wanted to publish twenty books in the series – one coming out every six months.

The release of the third book of the author’s Ramachandra series – Raavan: Orphan Of Aryavarta – is also awaited.

If you’re someone who’s already booked a copy of the book, Tripathi assures that “you will soon receive a message from the retailer on how the money would be refunded or adjusted against other purchases.”

He also assured his readers that Raavan will release by the end of the year.
