The final list of the Assam National Register of Citizens (NRC) was published on the NRC website on Saturday, 31 August. The Assam NRC excluded 19.06 lakh people and included 3.11 crore people in the final list.
The state coordinator for the NRC had, on Wednesday, 28 August, published a guide for checking the names on the final list of citizens.
The list went live on the NRC website at around 10 am on Saturday.
The list, called the ‘Supplementary Inclusion/Exclusions List (Final NRC) Status’ is live at the following link: https://www.thefinalnrc.in/FinalNRC/Draft.htm
The list also went live on the Assam government website (www.assam.mygov.in).
HOW TO CHECK
Apart from checking it online, citizens can also visit the nearest NRC Seva Kendra, Office of Circle Officer and the Officer of Deputy Commissioner to check their names in the Supplementary Inclusion List on all working days from 10 am to 4 pm.
