The final list of the Assam National Register of Citizens (NRC) was published on the NRC website on Saturday, 31 August. The Assam NRC excluded 19.06 lakh people and included 3.11 crore people in the final list.

The state coordinator for the NRC had, on Wednesday, 28 August, published a guide for checking the names on the final list of citizens.

The list went live on the NRC website at around 10 am on Saturday.

The list, called the ‘Supplementary Inclusion/Exclusions List (Final NRC) Status’ is live at the following link: https://www.thefinalnrc.in/FinalNRC/Draft.htm

The list also went live on the Assam government website (www.assam.mygov.in).

HOW TO CHECK

  • To check if their name is available, the users need to enter their Application Referance Number (ARN) in the the form.
  • The users will then be asked to go through a Captcha authentication after filling in their ARN.

Apart from checking it online, citizens can also visit the nearest NRC Seva Kendra, Office of Circle Officer and the Officer of Deputy Commissioner to check their names in the Supplementary Inclusion List on all working days from 10 am to 4 pm.

People who can check their names will be those who submitted a claim after not being included in the complete draft published in July last year, or excluded in the draft list published on 26 June this year.
