Telugu Desam Party (TDP) general secretary Nara Lokesh on Friday, 15 November, accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy of getting caught in a paper leak case during his Class 10 examination, reported ANI.
Nara Lokesh made the statement while answering a question on the Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to convert all government schools into English medium schools.
"We had already told that there should be English medium education, but the option should be given to parents to decide in which medium their ward will study," he added.
The Andhra Pradesh cabinet had unanimously approved converting all schools in the state to English medium. A decision was taken that from the next academic year, students up to Class 6 in government schools will be taught only in English.
From the next academic year, students up to Class 6 in government schools will be taught only in English, with a plan to convert the other grades gradually.
In another statement on Friday, in Nellore, Nara Lokesh called Jaganmohan Reddy a "psycho". The statement was made in the context of the rising suicide cases in the state, reported ANI.
Earlier in the day, he visited the family of a party worker who allegedly killed himself due to harassment by ruling YSR Congress party leaders and police.
