A 35-year-old female security guard was attacked by two miscreants on her way back from work in Meerut’s Shatabdi Nagar colony on late Thursday night, the Times of India reported on Friday, 23 November.

According to the TOI report, the attackers were allegedly hired by the owner of a school, of which the woman was an employee. She had earlier snubbed his advances.

The 35-year-old sustained burns on her face, chest and hands, the report added. She is reportedly recovering in a private hospital.

It was around 8 pm when, I had finished my duty and headed home in an auto rickshaw. The moment I stepped out of the vehicle near my house in Shatabdi nagar. The two youths on a motorcycle threw a corrosive fluid at me from a bottle and fled.
