Three of the five judges on the Supreme Court bench pronouncing the Aadhaar judgment – Justices AK Sikri, DY Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan – read out their judgments.

No separate judgments were given by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and Justice AM Khanwilkar. Justice AK Sikri authored his judgment on behalf of himself, CJI Misra and Justice Khanwilkar.

Reading out his judgment on Aadhaar, Justice Sikri said being unique is better than being best and Aadhaar is unique. He also questioned if Aadhaar violates the right to privacy.
