As India celebrates the 87th Air Force Day to salute the country’s air warriors, tributes have started flowing in from all across the country. The Air Force Day is being celebrated in the presence of newly-appointed IAF Chief RKS Bhadauria and other senior officials of the three armed forces.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and President Ram Nath Kovind were among the notable names that congratulated the IAF and expressed gratitude towards the force’s dedication and excellence towards the nation’s service.

‘Safeguarding Our Skies With Courage and Commitment’

“Today, on Air Force Day, a proud nation expresses gratitude to our air warriors and their families,” tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who is in France for the much awaited induction of Rafale fighter jets, also took to Twitter to salute the Indian Air Force.

President Ram Nath Kovind also took to the social media platform to congratulate the IAF.

More notable political leaders like West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar also greeted the IAF for completing 87 years.
